About Lillian J. LaRosa, Esq.
About Me:
I have been helping people with their domestic relations and probate issues since I was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts 1982. Early in my career, I worked in general practice, including domestic relations, civil litigation and real estate. I came to realize that I am best suited to Domestic Relations and Probate practice, where I can focus on litigation and settlement negotiations, and where I can help people resolve intra-family problems. I believe this requires sensitivity to my client's individual needs and goals. I do NOT believe there should be a "one size fits all" approach to family and probate law.
Over the years, I have had the honor of being appointed by the Probate Courts of Middlesex and Suffolk Counties to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem, to investigate and report on child custody and visitation issues, and on psychotherapist privilege issues. I have also been appointed by the Probate Courts as a Guardian Ad Litem in matters concerning incapacitated persons and estate and trust financial accounting issues. I am a Conciliator for the Middlesex County Bar Association's Probate Court Conciliation Program.
Education: Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA: B.A., 1978
American University, Washington, D.C.: Juris Doctor, 1981
